Recognizing Top STEM Teachers in Delaware

What:   Governor Markell will visit with STEM Educator Award winners, their students, and school administrators at Sussex Central High School and Georgetown Elementary School — Joined by educators and students, Governor Markell will visit with the winners of the 2015 High School and Middle School STEM Educator Awards, which were presented this past January by the Delaware STEM Council.  At Sussex Central High School the Governor will visit the classrooms of 1st and 2nd Place High School STEM Award winners Robert Gibson and Jeffrey Kilner.  At Georgetown Elementary the Governor will visit with two dozen robotics team students who will showcase their team projects.  The Georgetown Elementary Robotics Team was founded by Assistant Principal Travis Bower who was awarded the 1st Place Middle School STEM Educator Award for his instruction as a STEM teacher at Selbyville Middle School last year.
