Join us for our monthly Code & Coffee Study Group! Whether you're looking to keep practicing what you learned in your last class or are in the midst of ANY kind of project - whether it's coding, design, working on resumes, or anything else - your community is here to help. Many people who attend are brand new to technology, so don't be shy!
Have a project idea and some skills, but haven’t attended a GDI event yet? Want to focus on helping others with their projects? You're welcome too!
This will be an informal event where members can meet each other and collaborate. Feel free to bring drinks, food or anything else you might like. Bring a laptop and something to work on. It's okay if you don't have a project! Here are some sites that you can practice with:
PairUpToCode Exercises (http://www.pairuptocode.com/)
Code Academy (http://www.codecademy.com/)
Khan Academy (JS) (https://www.khanacademy.org/computing/cs/programming)
Code School (https://www.codeschool.com/)
JS Assessment (https://github.com/rmurphey/js-assessment)
Feel free to come by for the whole thing or drop in when you have time.
A note to TAs: If you are interested in helping out with this event or a future study group, please let us know!
Want to sponsor or host our next study group? Get in touch!
All attendees are expected to abide by the Girl Develop It Code of Conduct (http://www.girldevelopit.com/codeofconduct).
The location is inside the North American Building, located at Broad and Sansom. The entrance is on Broad St right next to the TD Bank.
To enter, pick up the receiver on the wall outside the front door and the guard will come let you in. Let the guard know that you're there to visit Guru, provide him/her with ID and you will receive a temporary access badge. Head on up to the 11th floor and come on in!
