On Saturday, June 10, 2017 the Dover Public Library will be hosting its
annual STEM Makerfest from 10am to 3pm. The goal of the Makerfest is to bring
innovative programming related to science, technology, engineering, and math
to the community and to get them excited about the creative opportunities
available in these fields of study.
The event is open to all ages and will coincide with the grand opening of a
tech exhibit and the library's Summer Reading Program. I was hoping
information about the event on this site so that organizations interested in
participating can get involved and to increase community
Event Type: Applied Science (600)
Age Group(s): All Ages
Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Time: 5:00 PM
Participants are invited to bring technology, experiments, and other interactive materials to showcase their designs, inventions, and examples of work. Each participant will be given a 10’ x 10’ space, tables, and chairs. Most booths will have access to electricity. We are also planning to utilize our outdoor space if anyone is interested. The Library has tents that can be borrowed if anyone is interested in this space. The Library will not have designated quiet areas this day, so participants should feel free to bring resources that make noise.
