On Saturday, June 10, 2017 the Dover Public Library will be hosting its annual STEM Makerfest from 10am to 3pm. The goal of the Makerfest is to bring innovative programming related to science, technology, engineering, and math to the community and to get them excited about the creative opportunities available in these fields of study.
Participants are invited to bring technology, experiments, and other interactive materials to showcase their designs, inventions, and examples of work. This is an opportunity for STEM Makers to showoff what they do! Each participant will be given a 10’ x 10’ space, tables, and chairs. Most booths will have access to electricity.
The event is open to all ages and will coincide with the grand opening of a tech exhibit and the library's Summer Reading Program. The Library will not have designated quiet areas this day, so participants should feel free to bring resources that make noise. A limited number of outdoor booths are available, the Library can provide tents. Programs should be fun, educational, and engaging; the more interactive it is, the better!
