2018 Climate Education Academy - A NOAA and MADE CLEAR Professional Learning Opportunity

This summer NOAA, DE Sea Grant and MADE CLEAR are partnering to offer the 2018 Climate Education Academy, An Earth Systems Science Professional Learning Opportunity, and we would like to invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

 

Join Us to learn about
  • The causes and effects of a changing climate
  • How climate change is impacting our area
  • Solutions and stewardship activities to address climate change
Get up to speed on climate change and Earth system science with an introductory webinar and a three-part on-line component before the face to face Academy. At the Academy, jump into climate change science with three-dimensional lessons, interactions with climate science experts, authentic data analysis, field studies, and on-line simulations. Share your classroom experiences with others bringing this important topic to their students. View the full Climate Academy Agenda
You will receive classroom materials and resources to start your climate change teaching portfolio. A $300 stipend is available upon completion of course requirements. You may choose to earn professional certification hours based on participation and submission of a teaching plan. 
LocationUniversity of Delaware Hugh R. Sharp Campus, Lewes, DE Lodging and meals will be provided.
